Note: Apart from the basic pay, additional allowances will be provided based on the place of posting:
a) House Rent Allowance and Conveyance allowance will be given according to the rates and city classification set by the pay commission, provided accommodation and vehicle are not provided.
b) Dearness allowance on basic pay will be given from the date of joining in KRCL and will be revised yearly along with the revision of Basic Pay during the contract period.
The basic pay will be revised yearly, and exceptions may be made based on the discretion of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd.
Other allowances/Facilities include:
a) Reimbursement of Life insurance premium up to Rs. 500/- per month from a recognized Insurance company on submission of the original receipt.
b) Mobile phone allowance ranging from Rs. 500/- to Rs. 750/- depending on Pay Matrix Level.
c) Medical Allowance of Rs. 500/- per month for OPD facility and reimbursement of Health policy premium up to Rs. 500/- per month.
d) Travel Allowance as per Pay Commission rates for official work beyond the project area.
e) Travel facilities including Railway Pass for duty travel, Air Travel in exceptional cases, and reimbursement for road travel.
f) Accommodation: Rest House of KRCL or reimbursement of hotel charges as per fixed rates.
g) Leave: 15 days earned leave every 6 months, accumulative but non-encashable, and 8 days Casual Leave per year. Weekly off, public holidays, and normal working hours apply.
h) Maternity benefits as per Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 for female contractual employees.
i) Other benefits: Contractual employees may be upgraded to the next higher level after two years of service, subject to vacancy and approval. Upgradation will be based on recommendation, interview, and approval by the Competent Authority.
