PHINIA is Hiring for Data Analyst | Data Engineer

Job Purpose

PHINIA is looking for a skilled Data Support Engineer (also known as Data Analyst or Data Engineer) to join our growing Business Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE). In this role, you’ll help with technical support for the processes that put data into our Azure data storage and data warehouse. You’ll make sure everything runs smoothly and fix any problems that come up. We need someone who knows a lot about data integration, Azure services, and can solve problems well.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help fix any technical problems with Azure Data Factory quickly.
  • Keep an eye on data pipelines to make sure they’re working well and make them better if needed.
  • Find and solve any problems with putting different pieces of data together.
  •  Work with other teams to find and fix problems with data.
  • Help with routines that put data into our warehouse, fixing problems quickly.
  • Make sure data pipelines work well and put data into our warehouse on time and accurately.
  • Find ways to make data pipelines work better and do that.
  • Keep up with new ideas in data analytics and make sure our team uses the best ones.

What We’re Looking For

  • A college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or something similar.
  • Experience fixing problems with Azure Data Factory.
  • Knowing a lot about putting data together, ETL processes, and data warehouses.
  • Good at using scripts to make tasks automatic.
  • Knowing a lot about Azure services related to data and analytics.
  • Good at fixing problems and figuring out what’s wrong.
  • Good at talking to people and working with them.
  • Having certifications in Azure is a bonus.
  • Knowing other Azure services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics would help.
  • Knowing WhereScape is good but not needed.
  • Knowing Power BI is also good but not needed.

Key Job Skills and Competencies

  • Knowing a lot about how to move, change, and put data together (ETL processes).
  • Knowing how to put different pieces of data together well.
  •  Knowing a lot about how Azure Data Factory works, like making and managing pipelines.
  • Good at using SQL to ask databases questions and fix problems with data.
  • Good at using SQL to change data.
  • Knowing how to handle changes to how data moves around.
  • Knowing how to use systems like Git to manage code and setups.
  • Good at talking to other people and working with them to make sure data works well for everyone.
