Goals for this role:
- Create, set up, and keep up-to-date really advanced systems for analyzing information. We take tricky problems and make them simpler to understand.
- Find patterns and chances for growth by studying complicated sets of data.
- Check out how things are organized in our company and make plans and documents that explain where data comes from and where it goes.
- Make reports that follow the best ways of finding useful information from data, analyzing it, and showing it in a way that’s easy to understand.
- Check our systems to make sure they’re working well, fix any problems, and set up rules for how we handle, process, and clean data.
- Talk directly with managers and users to find out what they need, give updates on progress, and build good relationships.
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with project managers to understand what they need from the data, including the most important stats and targets, and give useful insights to the people who make decisions.
- Look at data to answer important questions for the people involved, including figuring out what helps the business do better and finding areas where we can be more efficient and productive.
- Make and keep up-to-date visual ways of showing data that make it easier to understand, using info from different places.
- Figure out the best ways to get and put together data, picking the right tools and methods to make sure everything works well and fast.
- Collect and organize data from different places, and create scripts (little programs) to make it easier to look at lots of data at once.
What you’ll need:
Skills and Experience Needed:
- At least 5 years of experience working with data as an analyst.
- Good at understanding and using data, including figuring out what it means and showing it in a clear way.
- Experience writing technical stuff, like queries and reports.
- Strong skills in using SQL or Excel, and ready to learn new tools for analyzing data.
Skills That Would Be a Plus:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or the same) in math, computer science, economics, or statistics.
- Know-how with making and using databases, and splitting up data into different groups.
- Experience in programming with frameworks like XML, JavaScript, and ETL.
- Experience using stats tools like Excel Macro, SPSS, or SAS.
- Proven success working well in a team.
