To do this well, we’re building a top-notch Internal Audit (IA) team. Our job is to make the business better as it grows. We want to be quick and use technology to make sure everything is working well and following the rules.
About the Team
Our IA team checks how well Stripe’s business processes work, if we’re following laws and rules, and how we manage risks. We look at everything from different angles and work with all parts of the business. We need to grow and work fast because Stripe is growing quickly. Joining our Data Analytics team in audit means you’ll use data to help us understand things better. You’ll also check if the models we use are correct. You’ll work with different teams like Technology, FinOps, and Regulatory. This role is important for helping Stripe reach its goals.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities
- Use data to help with audits, working closely with the Data Analytics team.
- Make visual reports using data to show important information.
- Set up systems to keep an eye on things and document how they work.
- Create and keep up-to-date tools that help us work better.
- Help make tasks automatic to save time.
- Write down what you find when testing data and models.
Who You Are
We want someone who meets the basic requirements for the job. If you do, please apply. Extra qualifications are good, but not needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of work experience.
- Know SQL, data design, and how to work with data pipelines.
- Be familiar with programming languages like R and Python, and know about machine learning.
- Use tools like Tableau for reporting and visualization.
- Pay attention to details.
- Love making great products and having a big impact.
- Be ready to learn new things quickly.
- Be okay with change and not always having clear answers.
- Be good at explaining things simply.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Know how to use basic git commands.
Preferred Qualifications
- Have worked in audit or risk management analytics.
- Have experience in handling lots of transactions.
- Know how to work with data that isn’t structured.
In-Office Expectations
Most Stripes work in our offices at least 50% of the time each month. Some teams might have different expectations, like working more in the office. This helps us work together and learn from each other while still being flexible.
