Role Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Development:

  • Designing, constructing, and maintaining robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
  • Crafting and implementing ETL frameworks to streamline data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Ensuring data integrity and quality throughout the data pipeline lifecycle.

Data Modeling and Warehousing:

  • Developing and optimizing data models to enhance data accessibility and inform organizational decision-making.
  • Establishing and managing data warehouses and lakes with tools like Azure SQL Database and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.

Data Integration:

  • Unifying disparate data sources into a cohesive system to ensure data consistency and availability.
  • Leveraging APIs, SQL, and other delivery systems for efficient data collection and distribution.
  • Implementing best practices for data integration and quality assurance.

Performance Tuning:

  • Monitoring and optimizing data pipelines and databases to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Continuously refining existing data infrastructure to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Staying abreast of the latest Azure technologies to optimize data pipeline performance.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Engaging closely with data scientists, analysts, and team members to understand and address data requirements.
  • Facilitating the deployment of machine learning models and analytics tools within data pipelines.
  • Providing ongoing support and maintenance for the data platform, promptly addressing any issues.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Familiarity with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate) and familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and analytics is a plus.
