  • If you’re employed, your family income must be less than INR 4 Lakh per year. For others, it should be less than INR 2.5 Lakh.
  • You must be under 30 years old.

Category B:

  • You must be in ITI courses.
  • Guys need at least 45% marks, girls need at least 35%.
  • Same income criteria as Category A.
  • Age limit is also under 30 years.

Category C:

For Graduate Courses:

  • You need to be studying a graduate course.
    Guys need at least 55% marks, girls need at least 50%. In Karnataka, guys need 65% and girls need 60%. In West Bengal, guys need 60% and girls need 55%.
  • Same income criteria as Category A.
  • Age limit is also under 30 years.

For Postgraduate Courses:

  • Same as for Graduate Courses.
  • Guys need at least 60% marks, girls need at least 55%. In Karnataka, guys need 65% and girls need 60%.

Category D:

  • You must be studying diploma courses like Civil Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
  • Same income criteria as Category A.
  • Age limit is also under 30 years.

Category E:

  • You must be studying engineering, medicine, or architecture courses.
    MDS students can’t apply.
  • Guys need at least 65% marks, girls need at least 60%. In Karnataka and West Bengal, guys need 65% and girls need 60%.
  • Same income criteria as Category A.
  • Age limit is also under 30 years.

There are some extra rules for differently-abled applicants and a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks needed to keep getting the scholarship.

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship : Documents

If you’re applying for the Sitaram Jindal Scholarship, you’ll need to include some important papers with your application form to show your academic achievements. Here’s what you need:

1. A copy of your SSLC/HSC scorecard.
2. A copy of your latest exam results.
3. A copy of your income certificate.

  • Girls: INR 700 per month
  • Boys: INR 500 per month

Category B (ITI students):

  •  INR 500 per month for government ITIs
  •  INR 700 per month for private ITIs

Category E (Engineering & Medicine courses):

  • For girls in engineering courses: INR 2,300 per month
  • For boys in engineering courses: INR 2,000 per month
  • For girls in medicine courses: INR 3,000 per month
  • For boys in medicine courses: INR 2,500 per month
  • For girls in PG courses in engineering & medicine: INR 3,200 per month

For students living in hostels:

  • Additional INR 1,200 per month for hostellers pursuing ITI/Diploma, Graduate/PG courses
  • Additional INR 1,800 per month for hostellers pursuing Medical, Engineering courses including PG courses

Category C (Graduate & postgraduate courses):
For graduate courses:

  •  Girls in the General category: INR 1,400 per month
  •  Boys in the General category: INR 1,100 per month
  •  Physically challenged students: INR 1,400 per month
  •  Widows & unmarried wards of Ex-servicemen: INR 1,500 per month
